Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sweet potatoes (1 large), washed, dried, and cut into ¼-inch thick sticks
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon fine salt, plus more to taste
  • optional for garnish: chopped fresh parsley and flaky sea salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375℉.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the cut sweet potato fries with the oil, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt until well coated.
  3. Place the seasoned sweet potato fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  4. Air fry for 8 minutes, then shake the basket or flip the fries.
  5. Continue air frying for another 5-8 minutes until the edges are brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the fries from the air fryer. Optionally sprinkle with flaky salt and/or parsley, and serve immediately.
  7. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, air fry at 350℉ for 3-4 minutes.

Notes

Cut the fries uniformly for even cooking.
Adjust seasoning to taste for a more personalized flavor.
Feel free to experiment with additional spices like cayenne pepper for heat.
