- 1 lb. sweet potatoes (1 large), washed, dried, and cut into ¼-inch thick sticks
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil
- 1 ½ teaspoons cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon fine salt, plus more to taste
- optional for garnish: chopped fresh parsley and flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375℉.
- In a medium bowl, mix the cut sweet potato fries with the oil, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt until well coated.
- Place the seasoned sweet potato fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 8 minutes, then shake the basket or flip the fries.
- Continue air frying for another 5-8 minutes until the edges are brown and crispy.
- Remove the fries from the air fryer. Optionally sprinkle with flaky salt and/or parsley, and serve immediately.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, air fry at 350℉ for 3-4 minutes.
Notes
Cut the fries uniformly for even cooking.
Adjust seasoning to taste for a more personalized flavor.
Feel free to experiment with additional spices like cayenne pepper for heat.
