Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons flour or gluten-free flour
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cup harissa sauce or 2 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons dried chives
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or oil it lightly.
  2. In a bowl, toss together the chicken, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Then sprinkle on the flour and toss again. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix to coat the chicken thoroughly. Spread the chicken evenly on the baking sheet.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  4. While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat until it starts to brown, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat, then add harissa sauce, balsamic vinegar, and honey. Season with salt and chile flakes to taste.
  5. Once baked, pour the harissa sauce over the chicken and toss to coat well.
  6. For the tahini ranch, whisk together all the ingredients in a bowl and add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water to achieve the desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Serve the chicken drizzled with sauce alongside the tahini ranch, and consider adding homemade fries for a delicious meal.

Notes

Adjust the amount of harissa sauce depending on your spice preference.
You can substitute chicken thighs for breast meat for a juicier texture.
Serve with a fresh salad for a healthier side option.
