Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds boneless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into cubes
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons flour or gluten-free flour
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/4 cup harissa sauce or 2 tablespoons harissa paste
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons dried chives
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or oil it lightly.
- In a bowl, toss together the chicken, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Then sprinkle on the flour and toss again. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix to coat the chicken thoroughly. Spread the chicken evenly on the baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
- While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat until it starts to brown, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat, then add harissa sauce, balsamic vinegar, and honey. Season with salt and chile flakes to taste.
- Once baked, pour the harissa sauce over the chicken and toss to coat well.
- For the tahini ranch, whisk together all the ingredients in a bowl and add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water to achieve the desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve the chicken drizzled with sauce alongside the tahini ranch, and consider adding homemade fries for a delicious meal.
Notes
Adjust the amount of harissa sauce depending on your spice preference.
You can substitute chicken thighs for breast meat for a juicier texture.
Serve with a fresh salad for a healthier side option.
